Just When You Get Comfortable
So today was not a normal Tuesday for me at work. I thought I would come in and doing my monthly reports and then my regular daily work. Then around 10:00 am my manager comes to me and asks for me to come to her office she needs to talk to me. I was thinking "great what have I done now" I figure it was cause I don't follow dress code and I am always taking my shoes off and not wearing socks. I was totally prepared to have to start wearing socks. So I sit down and she looks at me and says "I have put in my resignation. My last day will be October 2nd." I just looked at her in shock. I wasn't quite sure what to say. I started crying and told her she wasn't allowed to leave. I am just so heart broken and lost. I am not sure what is to come of our department and my position. I really liked her and vs versa. It just goes to show that you shouldn't get too comfortable with a situation cause in the blink of an eye it could change. We have a meeting with the vice president to tell us what changes will be made and what will happen in the future. I am so scared to find out. We shall see.

Sorry to hear that Sar! I didn't know your manager, but I say anyone that makes over my baby boy is alright in my book! Haha! I know you are sad about her leaving, but maybe what they say will be true in this case, "Things always happen for a reason!" :)
ReplyDeletehang in there! change is never easy, esp. at work. This change could benefit you in the long run! you never know, but try to look at it positively, it will make the change less scary.
